Description:
Thompsons Solicitors is currently seeking a Portal Paralegal to join our team based in Sheffield. If you are someone who thrives in a busy and rewarding environment and has a passion for helping people, this role may be perfect for you. No previous experience is required, as we provide relevant supervision, training, and coaching. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and sectors, as we can train you on the role itself once you are onboard.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Initially, you will be based onsite in our Sheffield office to support your training. Following this, you will be eligible for a hybrid working setup.
- You will primarily liaise with clients at different stages of their claim, managing portal cases including road traffic accidents, employer and public liability.
- Day-to-day tasks include taking enquiries, managing clients via telephone and email, and liaising confidently with clients via all methods of communication.
- Following conversations with clients, you will also need to instruct medical experts, compile medical records, take witness statements, and gather details of loss of earnings and other financial losses. The role involves acquiring evidence of injuries and losses on cases where liability has been admitted.
- It is important that you manage client expectations and take ownership and accountability for your own case load.
- Comprehensive training and ongoing supervision will be provided to ensure success in the role.
