Responsibilities:

Distributions and financial reporting

  • Manage the quarterly and year-end trust distributions, income tax returns. BAS returns and annual trust financial statements processes (with support from external custodian/administrator and tax advisor).
  • Review of monthly accounting package for the trusts (including trial balances) from external custodian/administrator ensuring the accuracy of accounting recognition.

Financial management, budgeting & forecasting

  • Manage the group’s input to budget and forecasting processes (covering trust, managed account and advisory client fees as well as expense accruals)
  • Manage running expense accruals process (quarterly modelling and update) and trust ICR calculation and reporting.
  • Manage monthly revenue and fees/expenses recovery process including provision of management information (FUM/FUA, financial results/charts etc)
  • Commissions calculation monitoring and offshore liaison
  • Review and provision of performance based revenue recognition

Business Improvement & innovation

  • Provide advice on, primarily from an accounting/ financial/ tax perspective, and management of key projects as requested (e.g FATCA, Managed Investment Trust tax changes, integration projects, tax impacts of trust rationalisation)
