Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for managing the Constellation portfolio and provides in-depth analysis on sales and key items to increase sales and brand awareness for the portfolio.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must possess strong wine knowledge
College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
5-7 years of wholesaler/supplier sales experience

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will be goal orientated with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Highly motivated with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must possess strong analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are also required. Must demonstrate intermediate level of proficiency within Microsoft Office applications. This role requires lifting and carrying of a 40+ pound case of product on a regular basis and requires extensive travel throughout assigned territory with personal vehicle; must possess ability to merchandise at the retail level. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the AVP on programming development, allocation management and goal setting; monitors, tracks and updates monthly wine incentives for assigned brands.
  • Is present in the field working with HBC sales representatives to ensure goal attainment. Works with Sales Managers on account coverage and all aspects of brand business.
  • Responsible for creating branding and marketing opportunities/collateral (e.g., newsletters, displays, in-store tastings, demos). Works with RAM and Graphics to develop trade ideas and creative POS to enhance sales.
  • Coordinates program calendars from assigned group of suppliers and prioritize key brands/items.
  • Manages incentive programming post sales analysis and cost payouts from assigned brands; Works with Supplier to develop/create new, exciting, motivation sales incentives in conjunction with AVP.
  • Works directly with Supplier and Purchasing to manage wine inventory and credits for all assigned brands; handles all facets and processes of new items across all Departments.
  • Conducts division training and portfolio education seminars for new and current wine brands & key competitive brands.
  • Maintains the Beverage Journal vintage updates as well as submissions for editorials.
