Portfolio marketing manager
Salary: From £35,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: 18-month FTC
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home and at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Milton Park - Oxfordshire)

About the team:
The customer engagement team is at the heart of the marketing and communications activity at Jisc; working across the business to understand the needs of our customers and co-ordinate the marketing and communications activity required in response.
About the role:
Jisc negotiates over 300 licensing agreements for digital content and software annually on behalf of member institutions. As the marketing manager for this portfolio, this is a unique opportunity to a play a crucial role in the successful launch and growth of Jisc’s enhanced licensing service, working closely with the senior engagement officer in digital resources team.
Your responsibilities will span strategic planning for marketing and communications, managing the delivery of plans and developing compelling content and communications. You will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of developing marketing and communications strategies, creating and executing successful marketing and communications campaigns, exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop insight to identify target audiences, market trends and competitive positioning, working with market research and intelligence teams.
  • Collaborate with brand, licensing, relationship management and other cross-functional teams to define messaging, positioning, value propositions and pricing models which resonate with members and customers.
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including web, social media, email, events and PR to develop awareness and understanding of the new offer, build contacts and drive adoption.
  • Lead the planning and co-ordination of activities across marketing and communications teams, product, web, relationship management, engagement and communities, and customer success teams to ensure consistent messages and customer experience across touchpoints.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in marketing and communications roles with experience of B2B marketing
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems and analytics platforms.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of developing campaigns, messaging, content and copy which drive engagement and business success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
