Job Description 1
Following an extensive review, on the 1st November 2023 the BCH Delivery Management Office will transition into the new Joint Strategy and Transformation Department, designed to provide enhanced support to collaborative services. We are pleased to present the opportunity to join the Joint Strategy and Transformation Department as a Portfolio/Programme/Project Manager.
In this important role you will work as part of a small, dynamic team delivering transformational change across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Police.
Under the direction of the Change and Transformation manager, you will be responsible for coordinating complex change and continuous improvement activity. You will directly lead and manage a professional and effective Continuous Improvement Team incorporating P3 management, business analysis and continuous improvement services. The role will matrix manage the activities of multidisciplinary teams, with authority and responsibility to run activities on a day-to-day basis. The P3 Manager has an important role in interfacing between the project and the business / supplier side in terms of communicating and encouraging the need for transformation and change in the business in tandem with the delivery of the new capabilities.
The role will contribute to achieving the vision, purpose and values of Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies.
You will have recent experience of working in a post where change portfolio, programme, project or continuous improvement management formed a major part of your role. You will be able to evidence effective application of P3 standards as well as the preparation of business cases with significant investment/return.
Although the job offers flexibility you will be expected to co-locate, on police premises across BCH, with other members of the organisation when requested to do so.
