At Getty Digital, we’re modernizing our software and infrastructure to both optimize business process efficiencies for our staff as well as assist with Getty Digital’s work to use data, software, and systems to provide a deeply linked and consistent experience for internal and external audiences as they explore the rich and complex information and digital experiences of Getty. This position plays a central role in this effort.
We are looking for adynamic and experienced professional to join the Getty Digital team. As the PMO Manager for our Digital Portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a new Getty Digital Portfolio Project Management Office (PPMO), the initial scope of which includes overseeing our ambitious 5-year roadmap of digital projects that are aimed not only at transforming our legacy technical ecosystem but also enhancing digital and technical experiences for Getty’s internal and external audiences. You will also refine and oversee the new Digital Governance process to ensure that all projects align with our strategic goals and deliver their desired value and impact. The PMO will oversee change management activities associated with major technology projects.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the PMO’s strategy, processes, communications, and policies, ensuring a consistent approach to project management across the digital portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a small team of project managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous growth and development.
  • Oversee a wide range of digital projects, ensuring they deliver their planned scope and impacts within established timeframes, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Run and refine the Digital Governance process, to ensure we continue to meet our goals to provide a transparent, Getty-wide participative process that ensures the management of cyber risk and compliance, makes best use of digital resources and aligns digital investment with Getty’s strategic priorities.
  • Work in partnership with Getty leadership to refine project scopes, goals, and deliverables, ensuring they meet the broader business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver detailed portfolio reports, tracking progress, resource allocation, and project outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify project risks and obstacles, devising and implementing effective mitigation strategies in partnership with the project managers and their teams.
  • Leverage change management methodologies, process and tools to create a strategy to facilitate adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a PMO leadership role, with a proven work history of managing IT or digital projects and managing teams of project managers.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management framework certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage a large project portfolio with significant budget oversight.
  • Experience managing major systems implementation projects.
  • Experience delegating and overseeing assignments to ensure successful and timely completion and to obtain the cooperation of others within and outside the unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in partnership in a consensus-focused distributed matrix environment and to establish, maintain and foster mutual working relationships with peers, staff members, users and others.
  • Strong supervision and management skills with innovative team building capacity.
  • Possesses a growth mindset, with an ability to think strategically and creatively, to anticipate technology trends and to transfer that thinking into cogent plans for a complex organization. Extensive knowledge of project management fundamentals, waterfall and agile methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, adept at engaging with diverse teams and senior executives.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a high-stakes environment
