Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Practitioner

To provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both patients and their relatives within PACU at The Princess Alexandra Hospital
To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence or as delegated by the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse / Matron
To act as a clinical resource with the department and across the care directorate as necessary
The individual is expected to represent the department in which they work supporting the clinical leadership team as well as the clinical team to support in the delivery of high quality, standardised evidenced based care. To provide skilled nursing care to patients being cared for in PACU, with an awareness of the importance of the multidisciplinary team.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.
