Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher within the Discipline of Bioinformatics, School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Galway, Ireland.
This position is funded through a sub-award from the Wellcome Sanger Institute (WSI), and is available immediately through to an expected contract end date of 30th May 2026, with the possibility of extension.
This full-time appointment is part of VibrioWatchNet, an international training and capacity-building project that aims to increase global capacity to use genomics to control cholera. The appointee will have an opportunity to contribute both to the design and delivery of research-led advanced training courses overseas, as well as to participate in
Salary: Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale €44,346 - €56,764 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
