Due to funding, this position is part-time and would ideally be carried out over 2.5 days per week, however, we welcome applications from candidates who would require flexibility or who would want to work less than the hours stated. Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with colleagues in Rwanda and Eswatini and across LSTM
  • Ensuring appropriate systems are used for collecting and storing clinical and epidemiological data and samples
  • Assisting the research team in the preparation and input of data into spreadsheets
  • Preparation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative epidemiological data ensuring the use of relevant contemporary analytical tools
  • Preparing and writing information for journal publication, guidelines for rural hospital clinicians and for teaching material
  • Maintaining and archiving accurate record and correspondence of all research activity
  • Contributing to manuscript preparation and submissions for grant funding
  • Supervising and assisting BSc, MSC and PhD students in designing and carrying out their projects and contributing to their development of theory and practic
