JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Postdoctoral Scholar will join the project to assist with collaborative community-based research and partnerships with First Nations and Métis communities in areas related to the research project. The candidate must have demonstrated success with engaging in community-based research with Indigenous communities. The successful candidate will hold a current PhD and possess a strong interest in education and health initiatives, Indigenous knowledge, and developing strong partnerships with Indigenous youth, families, and their communities. Experience in conducting qualitative research such as surveys or focus groups, one-on-one semi-structured interviews, and workshop coordination and administration is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated significant experience and leadership in community-based research and collaborating with Indigenous partners, particularly in Western Canada and who show evidence of creating shared cultural spaces through dialogue and engagement.
Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence as demonstrated by a record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals or forthcoming publications meeting high international standards or evidence demonstrating community and/or stakeholder engagement experiences.
