Description:
- Developing a strategically aligned programme of work for the aimed at improving the experience for our Post-Graduate Doctors in Training (PGDiTs) and Medical Colleagues at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. - In conjunction with the Director of Medical Education and Medical Education Manager, support and input to the development of operational action plans in response to departmental/local/South-West/National findings/reports/concerns and feedback. - Work with Clinical Leads and Supervisors to take forward required actions in accordance with agreed timescales. - Provide professional Human Resources support as required to resolve employee relations issues between supervisors and trainees in accordance with NHS Employers guidance/NHSE Quality Guidance and Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide specialist HR advice on individual complex cases involving doctors in training on rotation in the Trust. This may involve liaison with key contacts within the Trust including the Medical Staffing Team, NHSE, Regional Colleagues, the Deanery and GMC as required. - To ensure the Medical Director, Director of Medical Education and Medical Education Manager are kept fully informed of the progress of cases requiring HR intervention. - Be a member of the Medical Education Board in the Trust, providing reports and updates pertaining to matters relating to doctors in training.
- Establish effective ongoing communication and working relationships with locally elected representatives of doctors in training in the Trust, and employee representative organisations such as the BMA, MDU, GMC etc.
