Your team and your responsibilities:

TEAM DESCRIPTION

Vehicle Logistics Group (VLG) is responsible for the distribution of:

  • Globally produced vehicles to our European markets/retailers.
  • Locally produced vehicles to our global markets.
  • Installation of customer accessories.

These vehicles arrive from the different manufacturing plants to our strategically located hubs (logistic centres) where they are stored, customized, inspected and transported to the next delivery point (port, intermediate hub or retailer).
All operations are completed by Logistics Providers (LP), with a team of Toyota members ensuring consistency of direction and the achievement of customer requirements.

To support the above, Hub Accessory Engineering Team are responsible for:

  • Assuring VLG conducts safe production operations in HUBs by implementing a safe culture and safe environment.
  • Ensure that quality is built in during every stage of product installation.
  • Procedures and systems are developed and maintained to achieve conformity of production.
  • Implement Improvements (kaizen) across major missions of Safety, Quality and Productivity of the product, process and systems.

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety concerns are investigated & countermeasures implemented.
  • Customer complaints are investigated & countermeasures implemented.
  • Accessory Quality concerns are escalated and followed towards closure.
  • Operational process and product audits are arranged and completed.
  • Manage improvement projects in Safety, Quality & Productivity.
  • Regular traveling to hubs located in Europe (8 countries)
  • Promote a collaborative environment to effectively manage your responsibilities with the necessary stakeholders.

Your Profile:

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Have a mechanical/industrial engineering degree/masters.
  • You have experience in Safety and Quality engineering in a production environment – automotive would be an advantage.
  • Experience in leading or being part of a team delivering improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good coordination, organisational and communication skills.
  • Handle job with care and precision, in-line with deadlines.
  • Motivated to travel and work at the process (Gemba)
  • Good analytical skills also Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
