Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individual to join the post-transplant team as the clinical nurse manager, Band 7.
The job includes daily smooth running of the team and delivery of high quality care to patients post-renal transplant. Please see JD and PS as attached for further information. The applicant must meet the person specification as attached.
Overseeing the care of patients post-renal transplant.
Staff recruitment, retention, rosters, staff well-being and sickness reviews.
organising and running outpatients clinics to ensure all patients receive high quality follow-up care.
Maintaining staff competence and training of new staff.
Encourage and act upon the views of patients and carers.
Address patient concerns, working with the Patient Advisory and Liaison Service (PALS) and patient forums. Investigate complaints, produce investigation reports and prevent reoccurrence.
Ensure that practice is safe and effective and that staff have the specific skills and knowledge they require.
Ensure that staff have access to and awareness of national and local policies that will impact upon and affect the delivery of patient care.

1. Maintain an identifiable clinical presence on the ward/department and undertake relevant clinical activities. Ensure duty rotas and skills mix meet service requirements.

7. Acquaint the Modern Matron/Senior nurse with professional, operational and clinical concerns and promote professional practise at all times.
