Algoma University (Brampton campus) is seeking to hire a motivated and dynamic candidate
to take on the full-time position of Post-Doctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will work on
the research on “Climate Crisis and Migration” under the supervision of Dr. Nusrate Aziz,
Associate Professor, at Algoma University. This Climate Crisis and Migration study seeks to
examine the imperative for rigorous, evidence-based research to deepen the understanding of
human mobility dynamics within the context of the climate crisis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. degree in economics from a recognized University, with a research focus on

migration and climate action.

  • Proficiency in time series and panel study methodologies. Strong ability to interpret

scientific data and communicate complex ideas effectively.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Preference will be given to candidates proficient in Python and Stata software.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, or valid Canadian work permit until July

2025.
