Cancer Therapeutics and Immunology Postdoctoral Positions: Identifying New Therapeutic Targets in Lung Cancer.
Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Fellow positions in Hua Zhang’s laboratory at the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Hillman Cancer Center of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). UPMC Hillman Cancer Center (Hillman) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center - one of only 53 in the U.S. At UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, our researchers collaborate with our clinician-scientists to advance the most promising laboratory studies into novel clinical trials in order to provide patients with early access to new and innovative treatments. The Zhang lab develops the most advanced mouse models for lung cancer immunotherapy. The main research focuses of the Zhang’s lab are:

• establishing new immunocompetent mouse models for lung cancer and utilizing them to study the therapeutic efficacy and mechanisms of novel combination of targeted therapy with immunotherapy
• identifying new therapeutic vulnerabilities to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer
• characterizing the organ-specific tumor immune contexture to develop immunotherapeutic strategies
