A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Shyam Krishnakumar in the Department of Neurology/Nanobiology Institute, Yale School of Medicine.
The applicant should possess (or soon hope to hold) a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline within biochemistry, cell biology, or neuroscience and a track record of experimental laboratory research, with a strong publication record.
Experience in protein biochemistry is essential and fluorescence microscopy (confocal/TIRF imaging) is highly desirable. Understanding of membrane biology, molecular biology, and biophysical principles, is desirable as is knowledge of scientific computer programming.
The applicant must be capable of working independently and also, as part of a collaborative team.
