JOB SUMMARY
The Holewinski lab group seeks a postdoctoral researcher for projects bridging electrochemistry, ultra high vacuum surface science, and/or synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy. It is expected that a successful candidate will bring some portion of this expertise while having the opportunity to grow in other areas.

RASEI (pronounced RAY-see) is a joint institute between the CU Boulder and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) addressing meaningful, multifaceted problems in energy that require a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional approach. Responsibilities:
- Design of protocols for transfer of catalytic materials between electrochemical environments and ultra high vacuum.
- In-situ and quasi-in-situ surface analysis measurements including ion scattering spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
- Operando synchrotron X-ray absorption and emission spectroscopy.
- Development of catalysts for electrochemical energy conversion reactions.
- Supervision, training, and mentoring of student research personnel.
- Development of new, synergistic research directions for the group.
- General laboratory maintenance, safety, and procurement tasks.
- Exhibiting a strong commitment to rigorous and detailed hypothesis-driven investigation.
