Description:
Birkbeck, University of London, is looking for a postdoctoral researcher for the Centre for Neurodiversity at Work. The centre is at the forefront of applied research to better understand individual neurodivergent experience at work and how to facilitate neuroinclusion in teams and organisations.
This is a 12-month, full-time opportunity to work alongside highly-motivated researcher practitioners on an externally funded research project. Please note that we are looking for an immediate start date due to funder requirements.
As Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- organise and run a unique project investigating how a novel psychometric assessment helps people understand neurodivergent strengths and challenges at work
- play a central role in organising, managing, and supporting data collection, undertaking analysis and engage in sincere co-creation with people with lived experience
- Use your initiative and creativity to drive this research forward by designing processes, gathering and analysing data and documenting outcomes in varied formats
- Reporting back to the research funder at regular intervals
- Balance the competing demands of timely execution and delivery with academic rigour, with help and mentorship.
As Postdoctoral Researcher, you’ll need to have:
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- be adept at multi-method research and attention to detail
- strong organisation and administration skills and are proficient in relevant IT packages
- a PhD (or equivalent) in Psychology or a related subject and have experience of, or a strong motivation to engage with applied field research.
