Description:
We are seeking a part-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Aerospace and Turbine Cooling at the Department of Engineering Science, Oxford Thermofluids Institute. The post is funded for a 6-month fixed-term.
You will be actively involved in the developing and running of experimental facilities at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute and performing high fidelity computational simulations to corroborate experimental findings and propose other configurations not experimental investigated.
You should possess a PhD or DPhil (or be near completion of) in the field of engineering, physics or applied mathematics together with relevant experience in the field of thermofluids. You should also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication. Candidates will be considered with strong potential and commitment who are seeking an opportunity for early research experience, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 6 with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.
