Description:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A PhD in sociology, political science, geography, social philosophy, or related fields, showing performance at the highest academic standards
  • Research expertise using qualitative methods (including interviews)
  • A proficient or near-proficient speaker/reader of English as well as Danish and German, the two languages relevant to the regional contexts investigated
  • An emerging publication record at an internationally recognized level
  • Experience with and interest in public outreach and communication as well as knowledge-sharing activities and/or cooperation with external partners

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Research expertise regarding cross-border cooperation and/or network analysis
  • Research expertise in the Danish-German border region
  • Research expertise in relation to the Green Transition
  • Experience with Interreg projects generally

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and contribute to the collection of data for the research project. The candidate must therefore by willing to engage with and navigate between a broad range of stakeholders with different interests.
  • Analyse the data and disseminate the research results through the development of digital tools, best-practice documents, as well as academic publications
  • Contribute to the organization of events and activities within the project
  • Participate in regular meetings in the ClimatePol project
  • Present papers at conferences
  • Perform a number of research-related tasks such as engaging in knowledge exchange activities with the surrounding society. This also includes contributing to media content aimed at public outreach.
