The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is inviting applications for an 18-month, full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate in Quantum Biotechnology Modelling.
About the Role As a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow in Quantum Biotechnology Modelling, to be a part of the Australian Research Council funded ARC Centre of Excellence in Quantum Biotechnology, led by the renowned Professor Jeffrey Reimers. About you As the Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow in Quantum Biotechnology Modelling your main goal of this role is to conduct original research on quantum effects in biology, contribute to the development and research performance of the Quantum Biotechnology Centre, and produce valuable insights that will contribute to revolutionising the field. - Doctoral qualifications in chemical structure and modelling.
- Ability to undertake original research, as evidenced by timely and high-quality outputs.
- Contribute to the development and research performance of the research group by providing guidance on experimental design and data processing.
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills in quantum chemistry.
- Demonstrated expertise in classification of molecular structures, reactions and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in quantum chemistry applications.
- Previous work in classifying chemical structures and reactions and other processes.
About the Faculty The Faculty of Science’s organisational structure consists of two schools, two research institutes, administrative services and Technical Services. Comprising of five discipline-based teams and an operations team, Technical Services is Faculty led, providing technical expertise and operational management for Academic Staff and students covering more than 100 teaching and research laboratories and ancillary spaces that includes a store and workshop.
