Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the interaction of mycotoxins and the gut epithelium towards colorectal cancer risk using mouse and patient-derived gut organoids, in vitro cell assays, conditional mouse model of colorectal cancer and patient-derived organoid-based xenograft models
- Elucidate the molecular mechanism using RNAseq and pathway analysis followed by validation using standard molecular techniques (qPCR, ELISA, bead-based multiplex immunoassays, immunostainings, …)
- Supervision and guidance of master students (Biomedical Sciences or related) and PhD students
