JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in Toronto/GTA, Canada. This role is critical for enhancing our finance team’s data access and visualization capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with our FP&A team to develop and optimize Power BI models and reports, ensuring efficient data entry, retrieval, and visualization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and M query language.
• Experience with data integration from multiple sources, including cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Lakehouse).
• Proficient in SQL and data modelling techniques.
• Familiarity with finance-related data and metrics is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years experience working in the finance or pharma distribution sector, particularly with finance planning and accounting teams.
• Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques and best practices.
• Certification in Power BI or related Microsoft technologies

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for the finance team.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Planning and Accounting team to understand their data needs and provide timely solutions.
• Integrate data from various sources into Power BI, including client’s Lakehouse and other core systems.
• Optimize Power BI semantic models and ensure seamless integration with Excel.
• Provide training and support to the finance team on using Power BI effectively.
• Work with the IT team to ensure proper access and security for the Power BI environment.
• Manage and maintain documentation for all Power BI solutions.
