Power BI Report Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Brisbane (preferable), Melbourne or Sydney the Power BI Report Developer is responsible for supporting the internal business customers to answer business questions and provide insights through the development of Power BI reports. The report developer will use semantic data models within our internal Enterprise Data Platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Interpret business and user requirements and build high quality dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI to deliver on these requirements
• Work in collaboration with the Data Engineering team, the Predictive Analytics team, requirements analysts and subject matter experts to provide responsive, effective, accurate and timely reports and insights
• Design reports and dashboards applying useability, user experience and graphic design principles into the design
• Utilise data storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights through narratives and visualisations that drive actionable data insights for business users
• Develop self-service capabilities across the organisation through the provision of Power BI training and business user support
• Develop and deliver training that will enable business users to understand and utilise reports effectively in their operational environments, providing improved data capability and data literacy
