The Role
Flexible Power Systems (FPS) and Newcastle University are offering an exciting opportunity to apply cutting edge power electronics and control expertise to enable the further scale-up of electrification across the larger vehicles in commercial fleets, and their associated hardware and ancillary systems.
The Associate will help Flexible Power Systems (FPS) achieving their ambition of becoming a world leader in enabling sustainable transport, through two distinctive phases:

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver key innovations in power electronic converter design and control
  • Contribute novel design for on-board wireless bidirectional charging system
  • Work with FPS engineering team to produce a demonstration system
  • Ensure the effective transfer of knowledge through workshops, reports, training materials and mentorin
