Description:
Duties and Responsibilities include: • Managing long term conditions within competence. • Working collaboratively with general practitioners to provide the highest level of care. • Assessing, evaluating and monitoring treatment plans. • Be competent and up to date with Cervical Cytology screening, childhood immunisations, contraception management and all aspects of immunisations and vaccinations.
- Be proactive in promoting a healthy lifestyle and care navigate to appropriate services. • Mentor and support, trainee nurse associate and health care assistants. • Advise on foreign travel and administering travel vaccinations. • Managing complex pressure dressings and wound care management.
- Ensure infections control procedures and policies are followed and kept current. • Participate in practice audits, development plans and meetings. • Maintain own annual registration with the NMC and adhering to Code of Professional Conduct. • Promote own continuous professional development.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required on occasion.
