Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pre Construction Estimator to join our team based at our HQ in Uddingston where you can grow along with the business. In this role you will be supporting the pre-construction, design and bid teams working on a variety of opportunities from multi -site to standalone multi-million-pound renewal projects which are of an electrical and construction nature.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Estimating new projects from inception to submission
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing project specifications, drawings, BOQ’s and related documents including take off’s.
  • Setting up estimates, tender packs, and applicable trackers.
  • Work closely with our clients, designers, engineers, and contractors to provide a comprehensive bid package.
  • Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering team
  • Review and evaluate cost estimates prepared by team members to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Monitor market trends and be aware of competition.
  • Vetting incoming tenders/offers from our supply chain and ensuring that the most viable offer is included within our submission.
  • Participate in bid and proposal meetings.
  • Use estimation software and tools effectively to improve efficiency and accuracy of estimates.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Building relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors
