Pre-press Printing Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Understand and conceptualise customer’s artwork and design requirements
• Coordination with Customers on their requirements
• Check preliminary and final proofs for errors and make necessary corrections
• Plans creative concept by gathering information and materials
• Design, layout, and produce artwork file ready for production
• Ensure artwork is ready for production
• Ensure timely delivery of design & artwork and strict adherence to work schedules
• Manage artworks utilising various tools including Adobe InDesign, Pitstop, Prinect system
• Produce printed materials according to job request including equipment setup and maintaining the equipment to ensure functionality throughout the duration of the printing process
• Responsible for the entire print phase, producing the highest quality near-photographic prints to meet the customers’ requirement
• Provide support and coordinate with the production department and other colleagues to ensure all projects are delivered accurately, on time and are consistent with work order specifications
• Perform quality control checks and proofing of each job
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Any other ad hoc duties required by supervisor/manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Dip in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Good time management and good organization skill
• Creative, Color sensitive
• Teamwork
