JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the manager, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing analytical expertise for banner operations, with emphasis on managing the Store Upgrade Allowances that are provided to our members. The Pricing Analyst will need to ensure that the SUA provided to our members are in adherence to the banner agreement terms and are setup and amortized accurately on SAP. This position is a key contributor to the Sales and Operations team by providing business insights and analysis.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in a business-related discipline (e.g., Commerce, Finance/Accounting, Analytics).
  • Designation (e.g., CPA) obtained or in progress and/or MBA.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an Analyst role (Finance, Pricing) requiring strong knowledge of data analysis, business financing, and recommending financial business cases within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Strong analytical background, comfortable with complex financial analysis and modeling, detail-oriented.
  • Proven financial expert that has gained the confidence of business leaders and financial leaders for making sound recommendations and business cases, within the Retail and/or Operations experience.
  • Proficiency in enterprise software systems (SAP), and exceptional skills in MS Office, specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint, PowerBI and SalesForce.
  • Ability to take initiative, multitask, work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the Store Upgrade Allowance by member with appropriate amortization and reconciliations and ensure journal entries and subledger transactions are completed timely for month-end close.
  • Support activities related to ownership changes by appropriately following up with different stakeholders to ensure the settlement of upfront and program funds by prior owners in accordance with the member’s banner agreement. Ensure all terms in the banner agreements are appropriately transacted for prior and new owners.
  • Forecast cash flow and amortization for Store Upgrade Allowances and participate in the budgeting process for cash flow and amortization.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts with appropriate follow-up on any required actions.
  • Work in partnership with the Operations Admin Coordinator to maintain the integrity of Banner Agreements.
  • Analyze and provide repayment amounts on ownership changes and store terminations to the Sales and Operations team.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders, including Sales and Operations, Credit, and Legal, to provide support on member queries or analytics.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of communication with all levels of the organization and across the banner management segment.
  • Ensure business leaders are provided with relevant and accurate financial information.
  • Develop, build, and maintain various detailed financial and planning models.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize strong skills in PowerBI and SalesForce to assist with reporting tasks, including report building and data analysis, to fulfill business reporting requirements.
