Description:

PREREQUISITES

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience pricing analysis, market research, or related fields in industries such as retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or consulting is beneficial.
  • Degree in Business Management/Economics/Finance/Statistics or related field.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, and data interpretation. Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g. Python) is essential.
  • Good understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and pricing strategies with ability to translate data analysis into actionable business insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas and findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within datasets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across different departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand industry dynamics, competitor pricing strategies and customer preferences to identify opportunities & threats and adjust pricing accordingly for Food Service and Retail channels.
  • Determine optimal price points for new products or services based on cost analysis, competitive benchmarks, and value proposition considerations to ensure alignment with gross margin targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute pricing strategies considering factors such as cost, value proposition, and market positioning that align with overall business objectives and ensure consistency across channels.
  • Implement revenue management techniques to optimize revenue including price pack architecture, strategic pricing and price promotion management.
  • Analyse products’ profitability & gross margin for improving cost efficiencies, pricing structures, and product mix to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and analyse pricing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and initiatives and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports/presentations to extract actionable insights and develop recommendations to support decision-making processes by leadership team at monthly/quarterly pricing (or revenue management) meeting.
  • Maintain and update pricing data in system for all channels.
