Description:
SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:
- Prepare data for use by sales to present pricing information to the customer including explaining pricing rationale, price levels, pricing levers, and providing supporting documentation as required;
- Find more efficient methods of pricing and work with the manager to assess feasibility of solution;
- Be able to adjust quickly and efficiently to the evolving requirements of the business such as new margin targets, revenue strategies, technologies, product assortment, etc.;
- Identify key risks in opportunities and highlight for the sales team and management;
- Working with other teams throughout the customer life cycle on different pricing activities including penetration of existing accounts, inflation recovery, account reviews, margin improvement activities, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, re-acquisition, etc.;
- Work outside the existing tools to assist the management team in any type of ad-hoc activity required for business solutions or planning including developing easy-to-use reports for complex datasets.
- Ensures accuracy of customer facing documents including bid pricing submission, financial offering document, and any pricing or product answers to questions that may be included in legal agreements
Responsibilities:
As a Pricing Analyst for Staples, you will provide analytical and strategic support to the Sales, Pricing, and Merchandising teams to empower business leaders to make timely and well-informed pricing decisions. This will be accomplished using pricing and cost to serve modelling, analytics, legal agreement reviews, and working internal and external parties to obtain the best possible costing. The analyst will be required to work with multiple departments at all levels to present relevant information to the senior leadership team and ensure pricing activities are implemented to assist the business in achieving EBITDA targets.
