HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody settlement and services. Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.
MSS Operations have initiated a multi year front to back transformation programme to digitise and scale operations to take advantage of the opportunities that the business are targeting in the coming years. The MSS Operations Strategy and Change team manages the Change the Bank portfolio globally to support the strategy and the outcomes being targeted.
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Pricing Platform & Market Data Optimisation Business Analyst
The primary purpose will be to shape and support Business User Stories through the Agile Project Lifecycle, to allow the Programme to meeting short term project goals, as well as longer term its strategic goals
The successful applicant will enjoy being part of a high profile and ambitious programme of work which will see them gaining exposure across multiple business lines.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and reconcile User Stories to Reference and Pricing Stakeholders and conduct As Is and Future State process mapping associated with the delivery of functionality into Global Operational departments
  • Integrate and reconcile large Pricing and/or Instrument Reference Data sets to ensure data quality is in line with data consumers expectations
  • Carry out operational checks on all processes above, collating and reporting feedback where required and perform User Acceptance Testing including developing testing scripts, activities to support the global team,
  • Use the BA Toolkit and document “as is” business process flows and establish current painpoints and challenges whilst defining target state in conjunction with Service Delivery, Product Engineering and Technology
  • Form part of a team responsible for collating and reporting on high quality, informative Management Information for presentation at up to including Executive level

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:

  • Demonstrable Market Securities Services industry knowledge with solid experience of working with Pricing and Instrument Reference data is paramount
  • Proven Business Analyst with good working knowledge of operational processing across a range of regulatory asset classes with experience of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions such as Golden Source, Bloomberg Data Management Services (BDMS) essential
  • Highly skilled in use of MS Office tools, particularly MS-Excel, Word and Powerpoint, plus relevant project reporting and management tools (Clarity and MS-Project, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint) is preferable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, you will be comfortable with detail, able to articulate and present at a senior level
  • A can-do attitude; self-motivated and enthusiastic approach with strong problem solving skills
