ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for an experienced Primary Design Engineer to join our Design team based our Glen Waverley office in a full time and permanent capacity.
The role will be responsible for zone substation primary design services to ensure compliance to regulatory, industry, safety and internal design standards.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in the electricity distribution industry with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. In addition, this candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude, and be passionate about building and maintaining relationships with others and working as part of a team.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL HAVE:

• Degree Qualification in Electrical Engineering discipline
• Engineers Australia Registration “ RPEV “ preferred
• Substantial experience in a substation design role
• Detailed knowledge of principles/concepts/knowledge associated with civil/structural and primary system in a zone substation environment
• Knowledge of Cable Rating (CYMCAP) and Earthing (CDEGS) studies
• Substantial experience in a substation design role
• Ability to convey complex concepts in an easy-to-understand format to others.
