  • Salary range $145,041 - $161,156 (pro rata), actual salary dependent on skills and experience

Responsibilities:

MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA - ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this diverse position, the Principal Advisor Emergency Management will work across the directorate to coordinate delivery of a programme of work relating to national, regional and local incident and emergency management. You will lead ongoing change and development of project plans. A key part of this position will be to deliver against our key workstreams of coordination, incident management and national readiness planning.

Bring your significant experience leading responses to emergencies and providing high quality advice in forward planning. You will bring thought leadership with the ability to consider long term implications of decisions. Ideally you will have strong writing ability alongside your ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and requirements.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’D EXPECT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience in incident and emergency management at a high level
  • Operating at a strategic level of emergency management
  • Experience leading emergency responses
  • Strong understanding of incident management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on large programmes of work
