We are seeking an energetic, self-starter to join our UK team to work on a range of high-profile, complex projects including master plans, specific plans, vision studies, and concept-driven design schemes.
You will be responsible for leading the master-planning direction in the UK with our clients across their complex multi-disciplinary projects.
You will be focused on master planning projects both within the region but also for international collaborations, while also gaining exposure to a wide range of design experiences within our full portfolio of integrated disciplines.

:

  • In close consultation with the Head of Architecture, lead the development of creative and innovative design concepts on a broad range of master planning
  • Develop and advance conceptual and schematic designs on projects and prepare compelling and immersive 3D and 2D diagrams that communicate strategy and design.
  • Analyse and document project influences of design and master planning projects.
  • Assist with site planning and programming, footprint layouts, development calculations, massing and architectural design
  • Participate in public, client and other project meetings.
  • Manage and engage key internal and external stakeholders effectively to drive project process, resolve issues, achieve excellence in project deliverables and overall objectives
  • Collaborate with other members of the Design Group to develop and advance conceptual and schematic designs on master planning projects
  • Prepare graphic/narrative reports and presentations that communicate the design process, research, and concepts
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Enhance and optimize designs using rapid and iterative simulation techniques.
  • Act as a team member in coordinating and reviewing of work product.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiative and learning programs.
  • Interact through projects and other office wide initiatives with other offices and practice areas.
  • Display an enthusiastic approach towards others with a ‘teamwork’ focus, ultimately building a team around you to deliver projects.
  • The preparation and co-ordination of project information and its timely issue to the Client, Contractor and/or the Project Team as required.
  • Job planning including fee against resources, maintaining fortnightly from worksheets, advising the Head of Department of changes in resource requirements.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of concept and detail design information within the constraints quality, time and costs.
  • Ensuring that project files are set up and processes comply with our QA procedures.
  • Liaise with the Head of Architecture to facilitate and hold design and technical reviews.
  • Take a proactive approach in respect of advice to clients to improve value on all aspects of service delivery.
  • Be aware of and highlight business opportunities to the Management Team, in respect of existing clients or introductions to new clients and new opportunities.

  • Be a fully qualified Architect
  • Strong level of experience in strategic site master-planning for complex site developments and projects.
  • Project expertise and knowledge related to some of our core sectors (manufacturing, life sciences, high-tech facilities) is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of building components and typologies and their relationship to public space and infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of planning laws, policies, and regulatory tools.
  • Proficiency working in Autodesk Revit is preferred, but training can be provided,
