This is a permanent full-time position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate must be based at our head office in Perth. We understand and value the benefits flexibility brings and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home)

Reporting to Group Manager Assurance other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Builds trust and credibility with senior stakeholders for the successful delivery of internal audit outcomes that will support the improvement of risk management and effectiveness in South32
• Be the “face of internal audit” with the operations, working with stakeholders (mainly VPs Operations) on audit planning, execution and outcomes.
• Add value by influencing senior stakeholders (including VP Operations) on risk-and-control design and execution – specifically for operational risks.
• Actively contribute to the development of the annual internal audit plan through performing risk assessments, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and applying operational experience and knowledge.
