  Our client is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to join their dynamic team in Brisbane. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of business functions, through the development, investigation, analysis, validation and review of these functions. The successful candidate will have the chance to work directly with ICT staff, tracing business requirements through to test plans and cases, thereby reducing time to fix issues and identify anomalies. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong understanding of broader business issues, structures and operations.

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and documenting business functions and processes. You will be responsible for analysing these processes, identifying changes that can drive efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation. Your ability to liaise with stakeholders will be crucial in understanding the structure, policies, and operations of the organisation. You will interpret business needs, translating them into functional and non-functional requirements as well as software specifications when necessary. Your broad ICT knowledge will be utilised in identifying effective technology solutions that address business needs.
Identify and document business functions and processes
Analyse and identify business process changes that drive efficiency and effectiveness
Contribute to evaluating factors that form part of business change requirements
Liaise with stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations
Interpret business needs and translate those into functional and non-functional requirements and software specifications where necessary
Provide business support to technical staff in development of urgent technical solutions
Utilise broad ICT knowledge and knowledge of the business to identify effective technology solutions that address business needs
Provide estimates of requirement development to contribute to successful planning of the Program of Work
