JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic cardiac physiologist with a passion for improving services for our staff and patients to lead our growing department. We are a friendly BSE accredited department and offer a full echo service including routine transthoracic studies, contrast, 3D, transoesophageal echo and stress echo (both Dobutamine and Exercise) on both sites.
We also offer a physiologist led stress echo and valve clinic service. We have a brand new cardiac cath lab that provides a range of interventional procedures including pacemaker insertion and angiography, with development plans to include complex devices and simple PCI. We additionally offer, cardiac rhythm monitoring and pacing services, including tilt testing.
We enjoy close relationships with our consultants, junior medical staff and clinical nurse specialist teams, and have worked collaboratively to deliver a number of developments in the cardiology department over the last three years. We also have enjoyed support from HEE for development of training posts in our department, and good links with other departments across SW London. We are happy to receive applications from any specialism within the field of cardiac physiology and are willing to offer support to candidates who are stepping into their first departmental leadership role.
