Job Description
The Opportunity
Our Civil Infrastructure (CI) team has an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office for a technically minded Principal Civil Engineer. This is a great opportunity for either an Experienced Principal focused on design delivery looking to move into a Leadership role with a Tier 1 consultancy, or a Senior Civil Engineer ready to make the step up.
The successful candidate will be a highly qualified and want to work across a number of end markets and provide technical leadership to a team of passionate civil engineers. Whilst you will lead design with your clients’ needs in mind, your primary focus will be technical excellence and quality.
Depending on the project this individual will work as Design Lead leading a project team of junior engineers and digital staff, or as the independent Verifier. Some of current major projects include various Sydney Metro commissions, Newell Highway Alliance, Easing Sydney’s Congestion (ESC) and Sydney Airport plus the team also supports several iconic projects across Australia/New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
About You
+ Enjoy working in a team environment on technically challenging projects
+ Be passionate about assisting junior staff in their professional development
+ Have a track record in a consultancy environment delivering all aspects of civil engineering including earthworks, roads, drainage and utilities.
+ Whilst not necessarily ‘on the tools’ anymore, be proficient in a range of software including 12D, DRAINS, Civil 3D and be passionate about supporting digital transformation in the industry
+ Have strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
+ Have a commitment to quality and accuracy
