    Our team in New South Wales are an important part of the Intrax business and have a track record of growth and success over many years. We now have a rare opportunity to join the team as a Civil Engineer.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Leading and coaching a team of civil engineers within our NSW Civil Projects department.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within Projects and other divisions of the organisation for knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement and building of the Intrax brand.
  • Civil engineering design for building lead projects (commercial, residential, industrial and townhouse developments), land development (subdivision) and public domain infrastructure projects such as playing fields.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with team members, clients, drafters, contractors, Council and other authorities, architects and builders.
  • Allocate and manage the workflow of the team, supporting the organisation’s culture of being a learning organisation.
  • Building, maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clients, working closely with strategic Sales to support our existing and developing new business.
  • Lead the delivery of technically accurate, cost-effective and optimum designs in accordance with Australian standards.
  • Identify and seek opportunities to lead and contribute to innovative and technical improvement projects for the business at large.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • 10+ years of professional experience for Civil engineering projects in with at least 3 years in Australia and a minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in engineering – Civil
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members and the allocation of tasks and projects
  • Design experience: roads, stormwater drainage, onsite stormwater detention, pump systems, carparking, access driveways/manoeuvring areas (geometry and pavement levels) for larger building led developments and water & sewer reticulation (to authority codes WSAA).
  • Excellent skills in 3D design software (Intrax software includes Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, OSD4W, DRAINS and AutoCAD) for earthworks, road, drainage, sewer and pavement level design.
  • Understanding of stormwater design to WSUD guidelines, including MUSIC modelling
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads, VicRoads and other relevant authority standards for road and drainage design
  • Design and construction auditing experience for sewer and water reticulation projects (as recognized by Victorian Water Authorities)
  • Minor flood assessments (desirable)
  • Project management, contract documentation (AS4000), contract administration and construction supervision experience (desirable)
  • Ability to manage, train and mentor engineers in the civil team.
  • Registered Building Practitioner is desired.
