REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Criteria
- Experience in the design and inspection of marine structures (ports, marinas, harbours, weirs, lock gates, pontoons etc)
- 10+ years engineering consulting or civil/marine contracting industry experience
- Experience of working in Ireland and the UK
- Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
- Broad experience in marine structural design, coastal processes design, numerical modelling studies and an understanding of environmental engineering and permitting requirements
Skills and knowledge
- Proven delivery of projects both technically and financially;
- Ability to self-start /manage and a lateral thinker;
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written;
- Drives technical excellence and delivery;
- Astute business development skills, including tendering and pricing ability;
- Technical expert in specific disciplines;
- Can communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and willing to exceed client expectations
- Sound working knowledge of BS 6349, Eurocodes and related marine guidance.
- Strong and proven project commercial and financial experience.
- Masters level in Civil Engineering, Marine Structural Engineering or similar;
- Chartered or near Chartered level in EI, ICE, CIWEM or equivalent;
