Responsibilities:
At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. The Principal Client Engineer owns the Customer Experience for their customers by acting as a primary partner, advocate, and voice for Jamf’s most strategic and visible customers. They are a comprehensive expert not just on Jamf technologies, but their customer’s technology environment. They accelerate adoption of the Apple platform, and maintaining a productive and forward-thinking relationship between Jamf, Apple, and the customer in highly complex enterprise environments. They serve as an expert on Jamf products and related technologies both with their customer(s) and for colleagues inside Jamf. They consult on and assist in planning large product decisions for Jamf. They use enterprise expertise to predict and plan for system or design failures. The Principal Client Engineer also raises the level of technical knowledge and expertise across the organization by sharing their knowledge and experience with the team.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Demonstrate a relentless passion for the success of Jamf’s customers
- Lead key initiatives and serve as a technical expert pertaining to Jamf’s global Customer Success practice
- Identify technical challenges and make definitive decisions/recommendations on an ideal resolution
- Establish and maintain an active and successful project plan to drive Apple and Jamf adoption across all relevant product areas
- Predict, identify, and analyze feature requests, product issues, or technical requirements across Jamf products to improve the quality of Jamf products for Jamf’s most strategic customers and partners
- Drive understanding and adoption of Jamf technologies in customer organizations
- Engage constantly with a variety of stakeholders and key customer contacts to maintain alignment
- Pursue and maintain integration capabilities with external systems to Jamf products
- Work to creatively solve customer needs where a solution is not currently available in-product
- Create and maintain a reference environment to ensure customer needs are met
- Utilize expert knowledge of leading enterprise technology trends to advocate internally and influence Jamf’s product roadmap
- Actively consult on architecture and design of Jamf products as it pertains to large enterprise environments
- Act as a stakeholder in departmental priorities
- Serve as mentor to others within department
- Operate as a skill leader across all departments at Jamf
- Maintain perspective of the relative impact of decisions and projects
- Work with customers on-site as necessary to achieve succes
