Join the Strategy, Planning and Purchasing Business Unit who design the future of Hospital & Specialist Services. We work to 1-, 3-, 5-, and 10-year horizons in service delivery and enablers, with a 20-year horizon for infrastructure.
Our core workstreams this year include:
- Nationwide Clinical Service Planning with Clinical & Strategic Networks
- Service Prioritisation & Investment Pipeline
- Design Nationwide Strategic Change Programmes particularly in cancer and diagnostic services
- Nationwide Strategic Production Planning
- Strategic Budget & Funding System for Hospitals & Specialist Services
- HSS Intelligence & Insights
In this role, as a Principal Clinical Service Planner, you will develop and implement clinical service planning, working with the Clinical Networks and the wider Hospital and Specialist Services (H&SS) Leadership Team to ensure a nationwide approach while giving effect to the strategic health outcomes of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (HNZ).
NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant longer-term experience specific to the job and work demands, acquired over time (3-5 years).
- Experience in applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice, particularly in leading complex or contentious operational or policy work.
- A preference for experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams.
