Description:
The Principal Communications and Engagement Officer of the First Nations Justice Office (FNJO) is responsible for developing and delivering internal and external publication of content across a range of traditional and digital channels.
This role provides operational and strategic advice to senior management and staffon communication and stakeholder engagement issues. The Principal Communications and Engagement Officer will support the work of the FNJO.
The Principal Communications and Engagement Officer will: - Work with the Manager, Community Engagement to deliver a range of internal and external communications, engagement services and stakeholder education activities.- Develop, implement, and evaluate complex communications and engagement strategies and plans to support the achievement of the FNJO’s organisational goals.- Provide expert strategic advice on communications and engagement strategies and plans to support the achievement of FNJO’s strategic decision-making processes and critical issues responses.- Lead the development and maintenance of internally and externally published content including internet content, brochures, guides, reports, speeches, media releases and briefing notes with a focus on accuracy, reader engagement and accessibility.- Develop, implement and maintain communications policies, procedures and quality assurance processes to facilitate high quality business operations.- Manage media activities, including researching and preparing media statements and responses.- Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure effective collaboration and engagement to support operational core business and produce outcomes
