ABOUT THE ROLE

DNV is seeking a Principal Consultant in the Asset Optimization & Management team, to act as a strategist for our growing team. This role will help ensure our services and digital products support our customers through all of their current and future advisory needs. The Principal Consultant offers strategic leadership in collaboration with the Head of Section, networks to on-board new customers and services, and seeks new ways to delight current customers to ensure repeat business. They will be aware of market opportunities where we can differentiate, influence changes to business models, and lead innovation initiatives. They will work closely with our turbine technology and owner s engineering teams on commercial opportunities to strengthen and expand the business, including driving the doer/seller culture, and adapting the service offerings to respond where customers perceive the greatest level of market risk. They lead service line activities and support the Head of Section to drive technical competence development within the section, aligned with Energy Systems strategy. They partner with key account managers and regional segment managers in delivering a harmonized global customer experience while stimulating collaboration within their section/ team as well as across the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensures an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations
  • Optimizes and actively monitors business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, improvement of the utilization rate and an aligned workforce plan
  • Facilitates continuous innovation and improvement pertaining to the section to further our leadership position in the industry
  • Drives business development efforts within the section to solidify relationships with key customers, creates new customer opportunities, and maintains a robust backlog and sales pipeline
  • Provides industry-leading technical and data-forward services tailored to the needs of internal and external customers
  • Empowers employees, fosters professional growth and progression, and encourages employee retention through goal setting, development plans , coaching and mentoring, and training
  • Supports Head of Section in creating a flexible workforce and automates and optimizes workflows to deal with variable workload, improves quality and consistency, and quickens our delivery
  • Supports the Head of Section in strategy formulation and decision making
  • Collaborates with the regional leadership team as needed to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities
  • Identifies and capitalizes on business opportunities based on deep understanding of customer needs and value creation for renewable plant owners and operators
  • Creates and sustains a culture of saving and organizing one of our most precious assets: our data.
  • Promotes team capabilities internally and externally
