DXC’s Business Transformation team play a critical role in enabling our clients to transform their digital landscape. Through a human-centric approach, our team partner with major corporate and government clients to co-create, implement and embed innovative and effective strategies and organisational change designed to bring their vision and technologies to life.
To support Australian businesses evolve and grow, we are looking for an experienced business architect who can be an agile modeler, able to deliver incremental value and iterative deliverables that are purpose-fit for the evolving needs of our clients. Based in Sydney, you would join a passionate team of over 40 working across the country, with occasional travel requirements.

THE SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

  • Significant experience in helping organisations understand and define their business and strategic objectives in complex and challenging business environments
  • Prior experience working as a Senior Business Architect in transformational programs with operating model development
  • Experience in Human Centred Design and Agile projects
  • Ability to design and facilitate impactful customer workshops
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: the ability to impart and convey information in a confident, clear and straight-forward manner
  • To consistently display a positive, enthusiastic, co-operative and service focused attitude
  • Effectively manage priorities, deliverables and timelines with little need for escalation
  • Banking and Insurance industry experience highly regarded

Desired experience creating or applying frameworks for

  • Strategy – business case development and benefits identification; business capability and diagnostics modelling
  • Architecture – business process capture, design and re-engineering; requirements management through elicitation, analysis, user stories, traceability and lifecycle; user experience journeys; and conceptual data modelling
  • Deployment and Operations – value stream mapping and benefits realisation

Responsibilities:

  • Help clients understand their level of business and digital maturity through conversations and assessments
  • Work with multiple capability and functional teams to gather and document the structure of our clients’ business and technology landscape
  • Actively work between the Business & Technology disciplines to industrialise the best ideas with new digital operating models and ways of working
  • Drive and facilitate the right discussions with business leaders to identify business capabilities in relation to current and future business objectives
  • Partner in the strategic planning process by providing input to the scope definition of strategic initiatives leveraging capabilities, creating capability heatmaps to provide visibility to impacts, dependencies, overlaps and opportunities
  • Work closely with solution/technical architects to deliver business architecture artefacts needed for End-to-End Business & Solution Architecture approach deliverables
  • Business thinking and highly strategic in order to define practical solutions that align with our clients’ corporate strategy
  • Demonstrate understanding of our offerings and services across DXC, and articulate their value propositions to our clients
  • Collaborate with the sales team in client conversations to identify new opportunities.
  • Support or lead bids and tenders, including proposal development, pricing and commercial terms to ensure proposed service solutions are compelling, effective and deliverable
  • Facilitate internal huddles to build awareness and capabilities for business architecture
  • Develop and mentor team members to uplift overall team capability
