JOB DESCRIPTION

The Principal Crypto Architect will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of high-assurance cryptographic solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cryptographic algorithms, key management approaches, and virtualized solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with cryptography APIs, a strong grasp of Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), and familiarity with device certification standards. Additionally, the candidate should possess expertise in encryption processes, algorithms, and standards, with proficiency in both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography theory and implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Experience with high-assurance crypto technology development – including but not limited to New/novel cryptographic algorithms, Key Management approaches and virtualized solutions.
  • Understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography (theory and implementation).
  • Understanding of Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and experience with research and/or implementation of such algorithms.
  • Experience working with Cryptography API.
  • Understanding of encryption processes, algorithms, and standards.
  • Understanding of device certification standards and processes.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills.
  • Role is remote in US, Canada, and India.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of PKI infrastructure.
  • Relevant industry and academic background in crypto research.
  • Experience with Git, JIRA, IDEs (Eclipse, MS Visual Studio).
  • Embedded system software development experience (not required but good to have).
  • 10+ years’ experience in crypto systems with emphasis on technology development/demonstration.
