As the Principal Engineer at Lidl e-commerce you

• contribute to our ever-growing community consisting of a wide range of data profiles as data managers, -engineers, -analysts & -scientists and related citizens.
• work across team boundaries, guide multiple engineering related projects and introduce and enforce standards.
• design the setup of the company’s data landscape and turn it into a DataAsCode and DataOps methodology.
• build the Lidl e-commerce data foundation in form of a lakehouse and mesh-like approach.
• develop and own scalable solutions for data products and their pipelines, be it batching or streaming.
• support users in deploying their data applications for further automating Lidl’s e-commerce business.
• orchestrate (multi) cloud resources for high automation of data-intense applications.
• are responsible for setting up Git and DevOps structures for the sake of speed, transparency and maintainability for rollouts.
• develop APIs for enabling the interfaces between data producers and -consumers, data governance and -code plus ML-model endpoints.
• drive collaboration and help developing people from related data disciplines.
• work on the company’s data strategy together with other Principals and key stakeholders.
• work in a flexible and interdisciplinary team to support our mission to bring data benefits of the company to a new level.
