The Opportunity
At Adobe.com DX team, we are reinventing the B2B digital journey by building experiences that drive high value engagement, optimize sales progression, and help drive overall growth to DX business. To understand this journey, we collect large volumes of data across various sources to build customer segments, deeper engagement metrics, orchestrate personalized journeys and derive audience insights across every step of the buying cycle that lead to business results.
As the Principal, DX Web Analytics & Insights, you will be responsible for building and deploying the algorithm needed to turn data into actionable insights and innovative solutions. Your role will work closely with our engineering, product management and marketing to develop solutions, perform analysis, drive impactful insights and deploy machine learning solutions for a variety of business scenarios. In addition, this role will be providing technical, functional and consulting guidance to our CDP, web analytics and other various platforms requiring data ingestion where you will be required to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in crafting the solution to build the data structures for analytics use cases.
The ideal candidate will have a blended technical and digital marketing background with a passion for storytelling tied to business outcomes.
What you’ll Do
Be the strategic partner to collaborators in implementing sophisticated analyses and crafting data science models across various use cases.
Synthesize findings into compelling data-driven insights and communicate results to leadership
Bring structure to problems and decomposing them into scalable solutions that drive measurable business impact.
Translate business requirements into concrete deliverables, including design, development, testing and deployment of analytical solutions and scalable ML solutions that deliver business outcomes.
Lead a highly matrixed organization with distributed data ownership that may involve multiple project across teams and develop effective working relationships with collaborators and partners.
What you need to succeed
B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5+ years as a data scientist handling structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques (e.g. random forest, gradient boosting, classification, forecasting, regression, propensity scores, look alike, recommendations), understanding trade-offs involved and driving business outcome
5+ years as an engineer building ML-powered services or products
Expert in extracting and manipulating large data sets using SQL, Python and experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Expert in Google Analytics / Google Big Query, Google Tag Manager; Adobe Analytics and Adobe Tag Manager expertise preferred.
Experience with audience-based marketing; Customer Data Platform (CDP) experience a plus
Strong written and presentation skills, including confident presence over the phone and via conference tools, leading meetings, workshops, and reviews in front of leadership and audiences both small and large, including the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in hypothesis testing and A/B test analytics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $115,100 – $245,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
