In the Mood, Emotions and Relationships Pathway Family and Systemic Psychotherapists work within a strong multi-disciplinary team, providing assessments and therapy to children with complex and enduring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety-based disorders and Trauma. The multi-disciplinary teams are diverse including; Systemic Psychotherapists, Clinical Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, CBT Therapists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists and Mental Health Practitioners from a range of backgrounds including Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Creative Therapies.
This offers the opportunity for rich and nourishing shared clinical thinking and support You will be a qualified and registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with notable post-qualifying experience, passion and strengths for working with children, young people and their families. You will have strong clinical leadership skills, bringing a compassionate framework to join others in leading forward this pathway. You would work with children, young people and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns in order to provide an appropriate evidence-based intervention. You would provide consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues and work closely with inter-agency partners as required.
You would provide supervision to Family and Systemic Psychotherapists and other colleagues as appropriate as well as further support the development of others through training. There will also be the opportunity to engage with, and lead, areas of service development and research as well as wider activities to support developing leadership skills. You will be committed to service user participation and collaborative working with children, young people, parents, carers and families. You will have a good understanding of safeguarding across the lifespan.
You will be a reflective practitioner with strengths to bring to a multi-disciplinary team. You will have advanced skills and knowledge to support the development of others through supervision, consultation and training
